Dr. Jyotsna Sriranga is a transformation strategist for health professions education organizations. She has a master’s in public health Dentistry (2010) and worked as an academician in a dental college for 12 years. Her work experience induced her to passionately upskill her teaching, learning, mentoring approaches. She underwent numerous training programs and workshops in the field of education. The FAIMER Fellowship in 2015 exposed her to international standards in Health professions education and instilled a desire to contribute effectively in improving the quality of health professions education institutions.
She chose to upgrade her HPE skills with a Masters in Health Professions Education (MHPE) from School of Health Professions Education, Maastricht University, Netherlands (2021-2023). SHE provides a globally accredited, much sought after program. The program is truly international with students from different countries and contexts pursuing the master’s degree. Firsthand exposure to programmatic assessment and problem-based learning led to a successful completion of the master’s degree with proven competencies in Curriculum design, leadership and research trajectories. Dr. Jyotsna Sriranga obtained a scholarship for the PhD Proposal Writing course (2023) from SHE, Maastricht University and is currently developing a PhD proposal on social accountability education.
In 2023, She was taken in as research project advisor for FAIMER Fellows from PSG-FRI and in 2024 was selected for the Regional- Fellowship for Advanced Competency based Education, offered by FAIMER. She is working on Self-directed learning assessment rubric development as part of the fellowship.
She is an Academic council Member, Faculty of Dental Sciences,Bharathiya Vidyapeeth Deemed University; External research consultant- Symbiosis University.
As the Honorary Secretary, Academy of Health Professions Education, she has supported dissemination of educational best practices, research and collaborative initiatives.

Her keen interest in public health introduced her to Towards Unity for Health global forum where she was trained in Social accountability. She has trained hundreds of students to be socially accountable. She is on the Advisory board for TUFH. She developed innovative teaching methods and pursued research in social accountability education. To support her interests in research, Dr. Jyotsna obtained a PG Diploma in Bioethics and Research from the UNESCO Chair, under Dr. Russel D Souza (2021-22).
In 2022, Dr.Jyotsna Sriranga decided to dedicate herself completely towards bridging the gap in the Indian health professions education. While her experience of working in a dental college exposed her to the shortcomings and challenges, her international exposure showcased the possibilities and opportunities for bridging the gap.
She is committed towards bringing in locally relevant, contextually appropriate solutions, derived from global evidence.
